Prestige

"When performing a task, it is more important to be impeccable than to do it for the sake of prestige. Impeccability naturally result is prestige."- Sayadaw U Pandita

So you may want to know what does prestige means, it simply means that a general respect or admiration felt for someone or something by reason of rank, proved high quality, etc. In Chinese, 威信, 威望, 声望 .

Then what does impeccable means? It means faultless, perfect. In Chinese, 无懈可击, 完美的 .

Do things perfectly but not for fame or higher recognition. Sometimes doing things perfectly may bring you a higher recognition. In real life, we humans tend to do things to show off or to gain a higher respect from the people around us and we did simply forget to do things perfectly and faultlessly. And for most of the time when we perform task just for prestigious we end up having the opposite effects,....."shame".
